Across the prairies exist numerous ghost towns, and in some cases these places have disappeared almost entirely, except for remnants of foundations and a convenient geographical location on a map. Alderson (earlier known as Langevin, and Carlstadt) is one of these places. At the peak of promise there was a train station, two round-the clock restaurants, three hotels, and a number of smithies, stores, liveries and other businesses.
Today,
nothing remains except evidence of some of the foundations, and the worn
grading of the streets. |
