Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm (Drop-off as early as 8:30am, pick-up no later than 4:30pm)
Ages 8-12, Max: 12 spots per group
$222 per week

Discover the enchanting world of theatre this summer at our exciting 5-day Drama Camp! Join us on a creative adventure where students will explore the captivating realms of drama and performance. Over four days in our Studio Theatre, participants will delve into a comprehensive curriculum covering various facets of theatre arts. From drama and improvisational games to staging techniques, vocal skills, and character studies, each session promises to ignite creativity and nurture talent. Working collaboratively with our Summer Arts Camp, students will occasionally team up to create simple props, sets and costumes.
But the adventure doesn't end there! On the final day, our students will take center stage in a spectacular performance in our Main Theatre. It's their chance to showcase newfound skills, confidence, and teamwork in front of a live audience! Open to aspiring actors of all levels, our program fosters a supportive environment where individual growth and collective collaboration thrive. About the instructor:
Deborah Deans
has been active in community theatre since childhood and holds an A.R.C.T in Speech and Drama. She has maintained an active private studio in Medicine Hat for over 40 years. The last number of years she has taken an active role in directing shows (most recently The Little Mermaid on the Esplanade Stage). Deb lead the TheActrics drama camp at the College for 25 years and is delighted to join the Esplanade for the summer drama camp program this year.

Payment:
Payment for camps can be made with cash, debit card, Visa or Mastercard at the Esplanade's Guest Services desk in the main lobby, by phone, or online with a credit card. Confirmation of space will be given only when payment has been received in full. A patron may withdraw their registration up to two weeks prior to the start date and will be issued a full refund. No refund will be issued within the two weeks prior to the start date, but withdrawals during that time period will be considered on a case by case basis and may result in a credit applied to the patron’s name. No credit or refund will be issued to any withdrawals within three business days before the start date of the program.

Information about camp policies and procedures will be emailed to parents two weeks prior to the start of camp in the parent information package.
