Art Days available daily all February Break!‍

‍February  17 - 20 | 9am - 4pm | Ages 5 - 12‍

‍Drop off 8:30am - 9am | Pick up no later than 4:30pm

‍With our unique Art Days offering, children get the benefit of multiple community based learning resources in one program. In the morning, children will explore the exhibitions of the Esplanade and take part in play-based projects where they can exercise their imaginations, while developing their creative thinking and problem-solving skills. In the afternoon, we take a short walk across the street to the Medicine Hat Public Library, where kids can enjoy special programming and activities that complement their creative learning!

The registration fee includes all materials. Some materials used in the classroom could stain clothing. Students should wear old clothes or bring an apron or paint shirt. Bring proper outdoor clothing (boots, toques, mitts etc) as we may be going on short walks, for example, to the Medicine Hat Public Library, weather permitting).

‍About the Instuctor

‍While our projects and spaces make this program special, our arts instructor Julie Downey-Hogland, will ensure that each child has a positive experience. Equipped with a post-secondary education in both social work and fine art, she is passionate about inspiring children to achieve their full potential and to have fun while doing it! Julie has extensive experience working with children and youth of all ages and abilities. She has been creating a warm and inclusive learning space as an arts instructor at the Esplanade since June 2018 and we are very lucky to have her!

‍Refund Policy‍

‍A patron may withdraw their registration up to two weeks prior to the start date and will be issued a full refund. No refund will be issued after two weeks prior to the start date, but withdrawals during that time period will be considered on a case by case basis and may result in a credit applied to the patron’s name. No credit or refund will be issued to any withdrawals after the start date of the program.
