Before the curtain rises on MOMIX: Alice, tumble down the rabbit hole and join us for the Med Hatter Tea Party — a delightfully curious pre-show celebration at the Esplanade! Open to everyone (ticket holders and wonderfully curious wanderers alike), this immersive experience transforms the lobby and Gallery Foyer into a playful Wonderland of hands-on creativity, photo moments, and imaginative fun.

Pull up a chair at our long Mad Hatter tea table and decorate your own paper teacup, design a fabulously eccentric Mad Hatter hat, or mix your own custom herbal blend at the Curious Tea Lab. In the Gallery Foyer, help “paint the roses red,” create your own card soldier, and test your engineering skills by building a towering card castle. (Perhaps to defend the Queen’s court from curious intruders and chaotic tea-time mischief.) Don’t forget to complete the themed museum scavenger hunt to earn your badge of delightful madness! Perfect for families, friend groups, and curious creatives of all ages, the Med Hatter Tea Party is a drop-in, come-and-go experience filled with color, laughter, and a touch of theatrical mischief.
